Annually, TAITRA organizes more than 25 international trade shows (Show Calendar for 2008and 2009). Ranging from industries as diverse as automotive and sporting goods to IT, food, and electronics, these shows include Computex Taipei, Taipei Cycle, Taipei AMPA—all being some of the world's leading trade shows:

Computex Taipei

With 28 years of experience, COMPUTEX TAIPEI is already the first choice procurement platform for both foreign and local buyers. The COMPUTEX TAIPEI period in Taiwan is known as the "Annual Golden Week" for the domestic ICT industry. That's because the ICT industry, coupled with the electronics sector, composes the chief part of the Taiwan economy and plays a vital role in global production.

One reason for the global role of Taiwan's ICT industry can be traced directly back to the international marketing platform that is provided at COMPUTEX TAIPEI which is Asia's largest and the second largest in the world. And one of the winning approaches used by COMPUTEX TAIPEI has been the large-scale procurement meetings on the opening day of the show which allows buyers to lay down their exact specification to exhibitors. In those opening day session there were about a thousand meetings held over the course of a few hours.

A full menu of things to do and see like the Taiwan Show Case of Excellence, COMPUFORUM, EXECUTIVE FORUM, Opening Ceremony, Buyers' Night, Industry and Cultural Tours , and much more that let the ICT world touch the heart of Taiwan.

TAIPEI CYCLE

Taipei CYCLE is one of the top three cycle trade exhibitions in the world. In 2008, This event cosponsored by TAITRA and Taiwan Bicycle Exporters’ Association (TBEA) came with a magnitude that smashed all records and underscored the strength of the bicycle for years to come.
The figures say it all:
Exhibition Booths expanded 24% over the previous year
- More than 52,000 visitors came to the show, including 4,688 overseas buyers (an increase of 19% upon the previous year)
- The top five foreign buyers turnouts were from Japan, US, South Korea, Germany and Hong Kong. (Large increases in turn out were also registered from countries in the Middle East, East Europe, Southeast Asia and Central and South America).

This strong showing has already prompted many buyers to inquire about pre-arranging bookings at next year’s show. Scores of booking enquiries for the 2009 show came from foreign manufacturers in Europe, the US and Australia who wanted to confirm their place in the coming show.

TAITRA arranged a rich menu of show activities, including the Global Bicycle Forum on Industry Growth and Market Trends. Topics including the new B2B market in England and the new EU safety standards attracted professional buyers and company representatives. Other events included the Tour de Taiwan, Bicycle Design Forum, Out-door Test-Ride, and the Bicycle Extreme Sport Show.
